Disruptions at WNBA Games Continue with Latest Incident in Chicago
The Chicago Sky’s recent home game against the Golden State Valkyries faced an unexpected interruption on Friday night. During the third quarter of the Sky’s narrow 73-70 victory, multiple sex toys were thrown onto the court, marking the second consecutive night of such disturbances following similar events last season.
This incident kept players on the court while arena staff worked to clear the items, echoing a similar disruption during Atlanta’s dominant 124-88 win against the Los Angeles Sparks on Thursday. In Los Angeles, police reported detaining a male suspect who was cited and then released by arena security.
Similar occurrences have been reported in previous seasons across different locations, including Atlanta, New York, and Los Angeles. These incidents have sometimes led to arrests.
