Trump to Headline America’s 250th Anniversary Event Amid Artist Withdrawals

The upcoming celebration marking America’s 250th anniversary, known as “The Great American State Fair,” has experienced a notable change in its lineup. Several musical acts have reportedly withdrawn from the event, partly due to its association with former President Donald Trump. In response, organizers have announced that Trump will headline the event.

Trump addressed the situation on his Truth Social platform, stating, “I understand Artists are getting ‘the yips’ having to do with their performance,” while suggesting he might step in as a replacement, calling himself “the man who some say is the Greatest President in History (THE GOAT!), DONALD J. TRUMP.”

The event, which is set to take place on Washington’s National Mall in June, is organized by Freedom 250. The organization confirmed Trump’s participation in a statement, saying, “We are excited to announce that President Trump will personally kick off this historic celebration on Wednesday, June 24.”

Despite being described as nonpartisan, Freedom 250 was initiated by Trump last year and is led by a former State Department appointee from his administration. Last week, several artists, including Bret Michaels, the Commodores, and Martina McBride, decided to withdraw from the fair.
