Mike Johnson and Religious Leaders Discuss Future Political Aspirations on National Faith Advisory Board Call

Last night, Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson participated in a call hosted by the National Faith Advisory Board, an initiative led by Donald Trump adviser Paula White. White established this board post-Trump administration to continue her efforts in rallying religious-right leaders in support of the MAGA movement. The call was broadcasted live by Intercessors for America, a pro-Trump prayer group led by Dave Kubal, who has collaborated closely with White and assisted in founding her One Voice Prayer Movement during Trump’s presidency.

During the call, Johnson referred to himself as an “ambassador of hope,” and expressed his optimism for the upcoming elections. “I am absolutely convinced that we are going to keep and grow the House majority, we’re going to win a Republican majority in the Senate, and President Donald J. Trump is going to go back to the White House,” he stated. He emphasized the significance of the upcoming election, calling it “the most important election of our lifetimes, arguably one of the most important in the history of our nation.”

Johnson shared that he had spent nearly three hours with Trump at Mar-a-Lago, shortly after the Secret Service thwarted a second assassination attempt. He conveyed to Trump that, “it seems apparent to us that God has chosen him to do this, to lead the greatest nation in the history of the world for a second time.”

Paula White prayed for Johnson, seeking divine intervention to “raise up this army of millions that you’ve called to bombard Heaven [with prayers]” and secure Johnson’s anointing.

Rabbi Yaakov Menken of the Trump-inspired Coalition for Jewish Values followed Johnson on the call. Menken characterized the political landscape as a battle for biblical values, asserting that “Intersectionality is a union of people who hate values.”

Father Calvin Robinson, an Anglo-Catholic priest who recently relocated to Grand Rapids, Michigan, from the United Kingdom, also spoke during the call. He mentioned that the situation in England exemplifies that “nanny statism is demonic” and declared, “there is no liberty without Christ.” Robinson expressed his belief that America is poised to become “the last stand for Christendom,” referring to the forthcoming election as a pivotal moment for Western civilization to affirm its collective belief in Christ.
