Arizona Fake Electors Case Witness to Cooperate with Prosecution

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes has revealed an important update in the ongoing Arizona fake electors case. Mayes confirmed that one of the 18 defendants involved in the scheme to submit fake electors during the 2020 election is set to become a cooperating witness for the prosecution. This development is expected to be a pivotal moment in the case.

“We are going to have a very significant announcement to make early next week,” Mayes stated, adding, “We’re making progress in the case, and we feel good about the case.”

Legal experts have weighed in on the news, with Mark Kokanovich, a white-collar defense attorney at Ballard Spahr in Phoenix, indicating that this move could serve as a “pathway for other defendants” to seek leniency.

“The evidence is overwhelmingly strong… The first people through the door usually get the best deals,” Kokanovich noted.
