Stars Gather at Wimbledon to Watch Djokovic vs. Sinner
In a high-profile tennis match on Friday, celebrities from various fields gathered at Wimbledon to watch the defending champion Jannik Sinner take on Novak Djokovic on Centre Court. Among the notable attendees was American actor Dustin Hoffman, along with cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.
In the prestigious Royal Box, British actors Benedict Cumberbatch, Hugh Laurie, and Damian Lewis were seen alongside fashion icons Tom Ford and Anna Wintour. Tendulkar, who retired in 2013 after a record-breaking 200 Test matches, is often referred to as “cricket royalty,” a title echoed by Wimbledon itself. Adding to the cricket representation was Brian Lara from the West Indies.
Also present was Netherlands defender and Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk, whose national team was recently eliminated at the World Cup in the round of 32. Despite his past appearance in the Royal Box in 2024, Hoffman was seated elsewhere this time.
