NEW YORK (AP) — The Alexander brothers, known for their high-profile real estate dealings and lavish lifestyles, are facing serious allegations in a Manhattan federal court. Oren, Alon, and Tal Alexander are accused of sexual assault and sex trafficking, charges they firmly deny. As deliberations began, the brothers’ defense team painted a picture of womanizing behavior, but refuted any criminal wrongdoing.

During closing arguments, the defense urged jurors to focus on the evidence presented, arguing that the brothers’ pursuit of women, although potentially distasteful to some, did not amount to the crimes alleged by prosecutors. “Not because they’re rapists. Not because they drug women. But because they have a certain combination of characteristics that have made lots of people angry with them,” argued Marc Agnifilo, Oren Alexander’s lawyer.

Civil Lawsuit Filed Against Oren Alexander

In a related development, Tracy Tutor, a prominent figure on Bravo’s “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles,” has filed a lawsuit accusing Oren Alexander of drugging and assaulting her. Her lawyer claims the timing of the lawsuit was meant to maximize its media impact, a claim the defense dismisses as exaggerated and unfounded.

Defense lawyers, including Deanna Paul for Tal Alexander, argued the evidence was insufficient, with Paul stating, “You can’t build a house if you don’t have any bricks.” They also challenged the prosecution’s effort to link the brothers to a controversial blog promoting violence against women, arguing there was no proof the brothers authored any of its content.

Prosecution’s Stand on the Evidence

Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth Espinosa countered these arguments by highlighting the blog’s presence on a device found in Tal Alexander’s apartment, asserting it mirrored the defendants’ alleged actions and justifications. She dismissed the defense’s arguments as baseless, emphasizing the strength of the evidence presented by the testimonies of 11 women.

Espinosa urged the jury not to be swayed by isolated pieces of testimony, stating, “Defendants’ arguments are meant to confuse and distract you,” and insisted the overarching narrative was crucial to understanding the case.
